Éclat Part 125 – TDCK 2024 Special!

Avatar eclatcrew | October 8, 2024

Éclat Crew is incredibly grateful to have been honoured by the Berlin Club Commission at 2024's Tag Der Clubkultur awards! We're going to be hosting a series of events in the future with this very generous award, but we're starting off with a series of events this week.

Tonight's workshop is our first event for TDCK 2024, a TDCK special Éclat Crew workshop. Tomorrow night, Wednesday the 9th of October, we'll be hosting a FLINTA* only evening of discussion and exchange at Aequa, featuring presentations by 3 different Éclat Crew producers, guided peer-to-peer conversations, and a listening session for your works in progress! Sign up to claim your spot here.

Then on Thursday 10th October, we're hosting an event that's open to all featuring a panel discussion on 'How to stay creative in a world of chaos', and Éclat Crew community DJs to play you through the night. Claim your free ticket on RA here!

The theme for this year's Tag Der Clubkultur is "Beyond Tomorrow: Remaining Hopeful In Chaos". Tonight's sample pack, sourced from Éclat Crew members, reflects that theme in the wide variety and assortment of sounds that we have to work with.

Download the sample pack here!

Tonight's challenge is to make a new track of up to 2 minutes long using ONLY samples from the sample pack (plus your own voice if you would like to sing). You can crop, warp, repitch, morph and affect the samples as much as you like, or even use them in a granular synth to create new sounds, but all the source audio for your track should be from this pack.

Submit your track to this Google Drive by 20:30pm, and then rejoin the Zoom call at 21:00 for our listening session!
