Éclat: Part 91

 

Sometime when you're browsing around the internet you end up finding some delightful treasure-chests of samples! Happymag.tv has made this delightful collection of sample packs from Sydney-based artists, and this week we're going to be using this sample pack from Sydney Indie R&B artist Milan Ring for our challenge.

This sample pack was made at a Sydney coffee roaster and cafe. Milan says for her sampling "is about being really spontaneous and child-like in a way; just hitting things and having fun and not thinking about any sort of outcome, it's just for the love of creating and experimenting", which I think encapsulates our approach at Éclat perfectly!

As most of these sounds are percussive, tonight's challenge is to use ONLY these samples for all your drums and percussion. For other sounds (melodies, bass, etc) you can use any instruments or samples you like.
