WELCOME TO ÉCLAT CREW

A music-making collective for FLINTA* (female, lesbian, intersex, noninary, trans and agender) electronic music producers.

éclat | eɪˈklɑː |
noun: brilliant display or effect; social distinction or conspicuous success

Éclat Crew is a Berlin-based Electronic Music Collective aiming to support, promote, and inspire the practice and output of FLINTA* artists of all levels through collaboration and cooperation.

We meet fortnightly in Berlin to work on shared music-making challenges. We also throw parties, and collaborate with other collectives and events around Berlin and Europe.

But why?

This event is about connecting producers from under-represented groups, and providing a time and a space to work, challenge each other, and honor and share our collected strengths and knowledge.

I don’t think I’m ready for this jelly...

Are you interested in music production? Then you’re ready! Even if you’ve never touched a DAW before, this is your opportunity to be amongst helpful, interested and engaged producers of all different genres and skill-levels.

What do I need to bring?

A laptop with a DAW installed (Garageband, Logic, Ableton, Fruity Loops, Pro Tools, Bitwig, Reaper, or any other DAW you can think of, preferably with as much of the extra content downloaded as possible), and headphones.

What do I get out of it?

An instant community of supportive music maker friends who understand the unique challenges facing minorities in the industry – a regular, scheduled opportunity to extend and expand your music-making practice – specific production challenges to push more established producers out of their comfort zones – shared knowledge from other members of the group through presentations and collaborations.

What about access?

Éclat Crew is currently hosted online, with quarterly physical workshops at accessible venues around Berlin. Please check our Facebook Events Page for more information about the locations of our upcoming events.

What about safety?

No one should have to be worried about their safety getting home from an event like Éclat Crew. Unfortunately, many people who attend events, parties and workshops by public transport are at risk, particularly trans women/trans-feminine people, people with disabilities and QTPOC (queer and trans people of colour) among others.

Éclat Crew is proud to be a member of Trans-Feminism International’s Get Home Safe Pot program.
You can read more about the program here: http://www.transfeminism.net/get-home-safe/

If you have concerns for your safety leaving Éclat Crew, just fill in the form below and we’ll make sure we seek you out during the event to provide you with either public transport tickets or a taxi service of your choice to ensure you can get home safe. You’re also welcome to approach Ivy during the event, pre-registration is NOT a requirement to use this service.
