Éclat Part 136
This week's sample pack comes to us from a relief effort for Lebanon organised in my homeland of Aotearoa (New Zealand). This collection of 300 samples was put together as a fundraiser for the Beirut Synthesiser Center and Tunefork Studios.
While official timeframe for the fundraiser was over by the time I found this sample pack, I contacted the organiser who suggested we send a donation directly to Tunefork Studios so they can continue their work supporting Lebanese musicians in their community. So I sent a donation a couple of days ago, and in return Back 2 Back have very kindly let us use their sample pack for tonight's challenge.
Download the samples from WeTransfer here!
These samples are published under a CC BY 4.0 license and usable for commercial purposes with the only requirement being that this release is credited in some kind of way, with the hopes that others may find it. If you'd like to support directly, you can also purchase the sample pack from Bandcamp, and read about the motivation behind the creation of the pack further.
Today's challenge is to use only samples from this pack (plus your voice if you're a vocalist) to make a track of ± 2 minutes long. You can mangle, warp, and process the samples any way that you like.
Submit your track to this Google Drive by 20:30pm, and then rejoin the Zoom call at 21:00 for our listening session!
