Éclat Part 169

Avatar eclatcrew | July 7, 2026

It's been a minute since we did something with a funny animal sound, so here we go!

The Willow ptarmigan, also known as the "Awebo", makes an incredibly funny repertoire of noises, and that's what we're working with today. Awebos dwell in the far north of the globe and are not currently under threat. Fun Wikipedia fact: Chicken, Alaska, was originally going to be named "Ptarmigan" in 1902, but town founders could not agree on how to spell it.

Download the sample here!

The challenge tonight is to use this sound or part of this sample, plus any other sounds or instruments that you like to make a new track of ± 2 minutes long. Upload your track to this dropbox folder by 20:30, and then rejoin the Zoom call at 21:00 for our listening session!
