Éclat Part 164

Avatar eclatcrew | April 28, 2026

Welcome to this week's challenge! This one comes to us thanks to weird sounds on the internet. This time, I came across a custom instrument designer who has made - this thing.

Artigiano Del Suono plays a new instrument that looks like a series of giant matchsticks of varying heights

It's weird and wonderful and so today we're going to be working with that sound! Download the WAV file from here.

The challenge tonight is to use this sound, cut up and manipulated in any way that you'd like, plus any other sounds or synths that you like to make a new track of ± 2 minutes long. Upload your track to this dropbox folder by 20:30, and then rejoin the Zoom call at 21:00 for our listening session!

For ideas on using samples in your tracks, check out the tutorials below!
