Have you been doing JAMUARY? Shudrr's been doing an amazing job of getting folks involved and making new bits of music. It's okay if you haven't joined in yet, tonight's challenge is a part of the prompt list!
"Synthy Good Times!" is another under-cover attempt for me to learn how to use my hardware. Those folks who joined in at our first workshop this year will remember that I used that workshop to make a sample pack from my drum machine; today's sample pack is an attempt for me to learn how to use my little Volca Keys synthesizer!
In this pack you've got a bunch of random synth sounds that I generated while messing around with my synth and my Arturia Keystep to try and make some interesting sounds. It's a slow learning process, but hopefully I'm getting there? Let's see what you think!
Download the samples from WeTransfer here!
Today's challenge is to use at least 1 sample from the sample pack in your track to make a track of ± 2 minutes long. You can add any other synths, instruments, and effects that you like.
Submit your track to this Google Drive by 20:30pm, and then rejoin the Zoom call at 21:00 for our listening session!
Listen to what we made!
