Éclat Part 165

Superbooth is an annual tradeshow for the electronic music industry held at FEZ out in Lichtenberg, primarily focused on synths and modular gear.

There's a lot of cool stuff at Superbooth, but honestly it's not the place for me... there's just too much going on, and too much chutzpah needed to push one's way through the oceans of cis-men in black t-shirts to try to take a turn on a piece of gear. Plus, attending Superbooth knowing I'm unlikely to have any cash to spend on new gear in the near (or distant) future feels pretty dispiriting.

Fortunately, people attending Superbooth are pretty good at documenting the stuff they play with, and that's where our samples come from today! The Youtube account Perfect Circuit made a few videos of some of the synths they tried, and today we're going to be working with those sounds.

Download the samples here!

The challenge tonight is to use any of the sounds from the pack, cut up and manipulated in any way that you'd like, plus any other sounds or synths that you like to make a new track of ± 2 minutes long. Upload your track to this dropbox folder by 20:30, and then rejoin the Zoom call at 21:00 for our listening session!
