Éclat Part 148
Thanks be to Bluesky, my new favorite place to find artist-made sample packs!
This month Bluesky led me to aria (@ariaveil), a self-described she/her bunny girl and sound maker. She appears to be the contact person for a bandcamp account called sounds.wav, who have released two sample packs for Pay What You Want, one raising funds for the Palestine Children’s Relief Fund (PCRF), and the other for The Center Project, a mid-missouri charity and community center in support of the LGBTQ+ community.
This week's challenge we're going to be using their SOUNDS - DREAM SAMPLE PACK. The download process involves a couple of steps:
Step 1: Go to https://soundswav.bandcamp.com/album/sounds-dream-sample-pack and enter 0€ (or however much you would like to donate to PCRF). You'll be directed to a link to a download, which will only feature the demo tracks.
Step 2: Within the download you'll find a .txt document with a link to a Google Drive. Go there to download the full sample pack.
If you have any issues with the download, please reach out and we can give you a link to download directly (but we prefer it if the creator can see the downloads on their Bandcamp)
Todays challenge is to create a +- 2 minute track using only samples from this folder (plus vocals if you're a vocalist).
Upload your track to this dropbox folder by 20:30! Rejoin the Zoom call at 21:00 for our listening session.
Listen to what we made here!
